Experienced Lawyer in Northern and Central New Jersey
An Overview of Our Family Law Practice
At the Law Offices of Gary Blaustein, Esq., we bring over 25 years of experience in family law to individuals throughout Northern and Central New Jersey, including Somerset County, Hunterdon County and Union County. Because we recognize that every family law matter is unique, we place a high priority on listening, so that we can tailor our representation to help you accomplish your specific goals. Though we have extensive courtroom experience, we also offer counsel in alternative means of dispute resolution, including negotiation, arbitration, mediation and the collaborative approach to divorce.
To arrange an initial consultation, contact our office by e-mail or call us. We can be reached in Bedminster at 908-741-4185 or in Union at 908-364-2467.
Our Practice
For over a quarter of a century, we have focused our practice on divorce and family law matters. We provide comprehensive counsel in a broad range of divorce-related matters, including:
- Child custody and visitation. We work with you to develop and put in place custody and visitation arrangements that give priority to the best interests of your minor children while simultaneously protecting and maintaining your role as a parent.
- Child support. We will help ensure that all child support orders comply with New Jersey guidelines and that the income of both parties is properly factored into the calculation.
- Alimony. We work with either side in an alimony dispute, helping determine whether spousal support is appropriate and, if so, the amount and duration of payments.
- The enforcement or modification of existing divorce orders. We represent either party in proceedings to enforce or modify an existing custody, visitation or support order.
- Domestic violence proceedings. Whether you are involved in divorce proceedings or not, we can help you pursue or challenge a request for a restraining or protective order.
In our practice, we encourage clients to use alternative means of dispute resolution, from negotiated settlements to mediation or arbitration. Attorney Blaustein is an accredited mediator and can either facilitate a mediation for you or act as your counsel in a mediation. We also provide collaborative divorce law representation.
If you face difficult circumstances because your ex-spouse has left you without any financial resources or is in violation of your support, custody or visitation order, we can help you seek an emergency relief order.
